FLOW STATE AT WILLIAM MORRIS GALLERY
Flow State at the William Morris Gallery provides monthly art studio sessions with a focus on wellbeing. Facilitated by art therapists Shan Rixon and Jennifer Raingold, the sessions are for people with low-medium mental health challenges, with the aim of providing a gentle, holistic and nurturing space for creativity, mind and body.
‘Flow’ is the mental state in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energised focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process rather than just the outcome.
Flow State is funded for 3 years from 2024-2027. No experience in art is necessary, with new art techniques taught each month.
If you live in Waltham Forest, with low level mental health needs and would like to attend, please contact Christine Lai, Public Programme Curator on christine.lai@walthamforest.gov.uk
