Hi, I’m Shan - a London-based creative health practitioner, art therapist and founder of Mindful Studio.
I run community art studios that nurture wellbeing and creativity, alongside my work in the NHS as an art psychotherapist leading a creative health service.
I’ve witnessed how art making can gently shift the way we relate to ourselves and others. At the heart of my work is a commitment to radical rest - creating spaces where we can slow down, listen, and reconnect through creativity.
Before training as a therapist, I worked for over a decade in arts education leading innovative youth arts programmes at Tate and The Photographers’ Gallery. Through my work in the NHS, my team collaborated with the Royal Ballet & Opera on a creative health project exploring the impact of dance on mental health. I currently work with the William Morris Gallery facilitating therapeutic art studios at Whipps Cross Hospital.
My mission is to help others unlock their creativity and experience art as a tool for wellbeing, recovery and connection.
