Whipps Cross Hospital x Vital Arts

In partnership with Vital Arts and the William Morris Gallery, I run the monthly Flow State workshops for patients at Whipps Cross Hospital in collaboration with art therapist Jen Raingold. These sessions bring gentle, creative activity into a hospital setting, offering moments of pause, play and connection during recovery.

The workshops are designed to be accessible and low-pressure, focusing on hands-on, sensory artmaking often inspired by nature. Patients are invited to explore materials, reconnect with their senses and engage in creativity at their own pace.

Current programmes in the hospital include working with the in-patient stroke unit and the community persistent pain programme.

As part of the wider Flow State programme, there is also an opportunity for patients to continue attending sessions at the William Morris Gallery after leaving hospital, supporting a sense of continuity and community.
